German Music Tours
Die besten Bildungsreisen nach Deutschland.
Germany as well as Austria play an important role in the history of Classical Music. Visit Beethoven's birth place in Bonn and the Mozarthaus in Salzburg. Take a guided tour of the world-famous Musikverein in Vienna or the Semperoper in Dresden. Attend a concert of one of the many Philharmonic Orchestras and perform in one of the many Baroque churches in Southern Germany.
Whilst we can design and operate a music tour dedicated to a specific country, we realise that the majority of groups prefer a tour encompassing several countries. This does mean that a wider range of music history can be experienced.
However, if your specific requirement is touring one country only, we are happy to create an itinerary that meets this requirement.
Our sample tour itineraries are on the main Music Tours page, which you can get to by clicking here.
Leipzig Music Trail
The Leipzig Music Trail
A fascinating weave of city exploration and musical discovery
A walk inspired by music: in Leipzig many of the places where famous composers, including Johann Sebastian Bach and Richard Wagner, lived and worked still survive in a concentration unmatched anywhere in the world.
The Leipzig Music Trail is the way to explore them. The proximity of the individual sites to each other makes it easy for visitors to comfortably discover these musical highlights on foot.
At each location there are audio samples to listen to and interesting information given in German and English.
The Leipzig Music Trail links the most important sites of musical interest in a 5.1 km stroll, with a route that winds through the city centre and is marked by curved steel inserts in the ground. The tour can start and end at any of the locations.
